Faz hoje 20 anos – inspirada na “Band-Aid” e com o objectivo de angariar fundos para apoiar os países africanos (mais de 60 milhões de dólares foram distribuídos, por países carenciados como a Etiópia e o Sudão) -, era gravada a música “We are the world”, escrita e composta por Michael Jackson e Lionel Ritchie e produzida por Quincy Jones:

Após assistir ao DVD duplo sobre os bastidores (e erros de gravação) de “We Are The World” é que percebi que a Cyndi Lauper não canta na última linha, apenas “esganiça”. Então, a última linha fica assim:
“When we…” (Kim Carnes – solo)
“…stand together as one” (Kim Carnes e Huey Lewis – dueto)
É assim também que está no livreto que acompanha o DVD.
